Civil Operator – Pipeline Construction

Location: Luddenham, Sydney

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Civil Operator to join our growing Sydney team. This role involves working on major civil and pipeline projects across water, sewer, gas, or infrastructure works.

About the Role

You will be responsible for operating civil machinery safely and efficiently while assisting with pipeline installation and general construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other civil plant machinery
• Trenching and backfilling for pipeline installation
• Working around live services and underground utilities
• Assisting pipe crews with installation works
• Conducting daily pre-starts and machine maintenance checks
• Following site safety procedures and project requirements
• Working effectively within a team environment

Requirements

• Relevant plant operating tickets/licenses
• Minimum [2-3] years’ experience in civil or pipeline construction
• Experience working around underground services
• White Card (mandatory)
• HR license (advantageous)
• Ability to work overtime and travel if required
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Desirable Experience

• Water, sewer, gas, or HDPE pipeline experience
• GPS machine experience
• Confined space and working at heights tickets
• Loader, skid steer, or roller tickets
